INTRINSIC MOTIVATION, PHYSICAL SELF-CONCEPT AND SATISFACTION WITH LIFE IN PRACTITIONERS OF PHYSICAL EXERCISE: ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODELING IN THE R PROGRAMMING ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

Jaime León, Juan L. Núnez, Evelia G. Domínguez and José Martín-Albo

Based on the principles of self-determination theory and the
hierarchical model of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, the objective of this
study was to analyze the relationship between intrinsic motivation, physical
self-concept and life satisfaction in practicing physical exercise, while we show
how you can use the free software R to test the hypotheses. Results indicated
that men and women who engage in physical activity without external
pressures and because they find attractive, are more satisfied with their lives,
but in part it will be because they believe they are more physically fit.
