This research analyzes the effects of a concurrent training program on the physical condition (strength and agility), emotional state and quality of life in elder people (n = 62). The study follows a quantitative methodological approach approached through a quasi-experimental design of two non-equivalent groups, with an experimental group and a control group, comparing pre-test and post-test measurements. The members of the experimental group participated in a 12-week concurrent training program. The following instruments were used, Anxiety-Depression Hospital (Quintana, et al., 2003), Short Form-36 Health Survey (Alonso, et al., 1995) and International Fitness Scale (Merellano-Navarro, et al., 2017). Results reflect significant improvements in the experimental group regarding strength, physical function and social function (p < 0.05), as well as an increased agility and a reduced body pain and mental health (p < 0.01). The results of the study allow us to define and specify new lines of investigation on which it is convenient to continue deepening in the future.
