Achieving a high level of motor learning and physical fitness in the Physical Education setting is a complex task for teachers, and it starts from the planning. Some evidence shows a lack of planning from in-service teachers as well as many doubts in the planning process. The aim of this article is to describe the process of planning motor learning and physical fitness in a physical education setting. As well as analyzing the circumstances around this process, in order to guide teachers in planning, guaranteeing future success in interventions. Finally, we expose the summary of research with the application of an intermittent reinforcement to maintain the gains achieved in a previous intervention as an example.
