Franco Noce e Mário Antônio de Moura Simim

This study aimed to analyze the perception of stress factors in swimmers performance during a pre-competitive period. The sample was composed by 35 competitive swimmers from 10 to 12 years old. A questionnaire was used to verify the influence of situations and factors that can interfere in swimmers performance. Three different moments were evaluated (one week, one Day and immediately before competition), being used a 5-point Likert scale. In general, it was verified that the factor with greater influence in performance is the psychological. The one that negatively influence in all moments is the biological. Just before competition, the social factor is the most positive one.
