SELF-CONTROL, THE ANTIDOTE TO VIOLENCE IN SPORT

Abstract

The objective of this study was to know Self-control through the five scales of the question naire prepared by Capafons y Silva (1998). The exhibition consists of a total of 204 students aged between 11 and 13 years, 5th and 6th grade primary education of 6 public schools and 1 concerted school in albaceteprovince, selected at random. This sample consisted of 116 women with an average age of 11, 8 and 88 males, of an average age of 11, 6. The 20-hour Intervention Program was applied to the experimental group. The results demonstrated, in the experimental group, significant results on the personal feedback scales, delay in reward, criterial self-control and procesual self-control. Decrease in unsports man like behaviors and lack of contact were observed. In the control group, no significant changes were observed.
