HISTORIA DE LA PSICOLOG�?A DEL DEPORTE EN COLOMBIA

The history of sport psychology in Colombia is divided into four periods, which are revised in this paper attending to the most important events from 1973 onwards. The main areas of the sport psychologist are also examined: training, research and intervention. The paper presents the main seminars and congresses celebrated and also the most relevant topics in the subject and in professional training; it goes through the research carried out, both published and unpublished; and it studies the intervention practiced in different sports and the participation in events related with the Olympic cycle. To finish, the author offers his view towards the future of sport psychology in Colombia.
